I need a reliable app to scan WiFi networks using my iPhone. My current Wifi keeps dropping, and I want to identify the best channels and potential interference. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
You should check out Netspot for iOS. It’s one of the best, IMO. Simple to use, super informative. It helps you see which WiFi channels are crowded and even identify areas in your home with weak signals. Used it myself when my internet kept dropping, and it was really helpful in finding the best spot for the router. Plus, the app gives a good visual representation of signal strength and interference. Definitely worth a try.
If you need more info, their Netspot dedicated page
is pretty detailed and user-friendly.Got a similar situation with my WiFi a while ago. I’d second @nachtschatten’s pick, Netspot for iOS, but also wanted to mention WiFi SweetSpots. It’s also pretty slick for identifying weak spots and checking your network’s overall performance. One thing I found useful with WiFi SweetSpots is its speed measuring feature, which tells you the exact speed at different locations in your home, giving you a better idea of where the signal is weak or strong.
Netspot for iOS is solid for pinpointing crowded channels and interference; it offers a thorough visual breakdown of your network. However, WiFi SweetSpots might give you an edge with its speed checks if you’re more focused on performance metrics.
For download, check out Netspot WiFi Analyzer on App Store. It gives you an all-around better view of your WiFi situation, and hey, the more tools, the better!
